Bits and boObs about me, and what I fancy telling about my life, my visions, my own artistic and spiritual world, including curiosities of my bands THE DANSE SOCIETY, BLOODING MASK and IL SEGNO DEL COMANDO as well as external collaborations.
Whatever floats my spaceship.

I haven’t got much to say about this year. It has been one of the worst of my life because my Jazmin flew over the rainbow bridge and nothing can make me feel about it.

That’s another piece of my heart ripped off.

Clyde joining the family has done everything with to heal my wounded heart. His clumsiness and infinite loveliness have brightened our cave, even during his struggle against epilepsy of unknown origin.

Fiore might be naughty but her compassion has no equal. Mother Theresa would die to have one inch of Fiore’s heart and empathy <3

THE DANSE SOCIETY – ‘VI’ is certainly the massive highlight if the year!

Paul, Jack, Iain and Sam have been magnificent, I can’t express enough how much I admire them and how blessed I feel for being this lucky!

Another huge bonus was our gig at the SCI FI International Film Festival!

Another big highlight is one of my best gigs ever performed with IL SEGNO DEL COMANDO. Diego, Fernando, Roberto, Davide and Vinz have performed one hell of a gig!

I couldn’t be more proud of them too, without forgetting about their precious girls Carolina, Roberta and Marina 🙂

I thank the dear friends that keep supporting us with Clyde and that support our band.

Last year was about removing dishonest elements from my life and this one is about new connections and creativity.

There’s going to be more this year… I will be venturing myself in new projects while there are new gigs soon to be announced with THE DANSE SOCIETY. I’m hoping to release the new BLOODING MASK album and there’s chance for some solo stuff as well.

So many ideas and such a little time!

Thing is, when you are in love like I am, all of the above gravitates happily around your other half, which in my case it’s my other half and a half more 🙂

Anyway, enough of 2015.

Happy New year, everyone 🙂

Made it a sexy and kickass one

Spiritual Posted on Sat, November 14, 2015 23:16:22

I was only 15 when the Fiumicino airport was attacked by a group of terrorists who killed a few people just a few steps from me. It was a day like another chasing rockstars at the airport, people leaving people coming back, families, people of any age full of hope, looking forward to a future some of them slipped away from their fingers.

Well today I read the news of more people like these losing their future in an instant, once again and I wonder for what?
I will never understand why and wouldn’t even ask because the eyes I crossed at the airport were empty sockets. there was no soul, there was no human being, nor an animal, nor an alien, all I saw was a carcass embracing a weapon, nothing more nothing less.

But whilst violence is cruel, death is kind.

I salute the ones who survived and the families now left to cope with another heartless action due to the timeless inability to coexist in peace. It’s nothing new… in the past people found entertaining seeing others being slaughtered in public…
I won’t even go there.
Unfortunately it seems like humans are so good to evolve with technology, claim to be literate, to read, to be creative, geniuses and then…

whoever the name of your god is, certainly didn’t create the world for you to destroy it, in fact you won’t destroy it. all gods are love.

no, thanks.

I am not usually posting consumeristic stuff but this is what happens when my Man buys a new Iphone and I am left with the two apple stickers!
He approved it, by the way, and the pic says why it is TWIN blog

PS: If you feel offended by a natural part of human body it is not my problem. This pic is a simple proof that I can do silly too.

New video with THE DANSE SOCIETY

Music Posted on Mon, September 28, 2015 14:32:13

I didn’t have much time recently to upload my blog but one thing I really want to do is not only to announce that VI is now available to order and preorder on the official website of THE DANSE SOCIETY, but to introduce personally the gorgeous video of STAR WHISPERER.

What’s special about this video? well first of all the images were all designed by artist Sean Taylor, who based on the lyrics generated the beautiful, old school gothic images that you can see in the video.
Then what we did was to animate them in the old fashioned way, with invisible threads and paper. In addition digital editing has added a little more movement and drama.
The result still gives me shivers… shivers because I still remember the day when the whole band were sitting in the rehearsal place, starting with a few accords, then I wrote a few things down on my mobile. my mobile’s battery died so I sent the lyric to Iain’s mobile and so we went on and on crafting the song.
Then the magic happened.

Then the video popped.

It is always a blessing when an Idea takes shape and weight and is now there.
What else could you call it other than magic?

But if you wish to know where the story comes from or where the inspiration came, it all started around march this year when I have read of a homeless guy and his sad story. Now in the real story he managed to get help and to rebuild his life thankfully (or at least this is what the article said) whilst in ‘Star Whisperer’ I have stuck the sense of solitude and pain through my experience as I have been homeless a long time ago.
The guy in ‘Star Whisperer’ dies, in silence, buried by indifference and by the noise of the city. Nobody knew his name. Nobody paid attention.
Still, a few people notice him and share this flower for him.
The people who are usually empathetic are the ones who have been suffering.
It might not sound a great deal but even a thought is a big thing when someone is in pain.
Thinking about people that suffer in the world is not a wasting of time.
Thoughts turn into energy and energy can change the matter.

This is what ‘Star whisperer’ is about.

Time for a cup of tea

People say they speak in my name everyday but somehow when they do they don’t verify the facts before mentioning me.
I am not on 24/7 call.

So how about doing your leg work before bothering me?
Sod off now.

yours sincerely

Professionals of the world unite

Social Posted on Mon, July 27, 2015 17:43:19

Social media are packed with words that are constantly abused on a daily basis. the word ‘ONLY’ is constantly abused on sales catalogues near the word PRICE, the word ‘HONEST’ is actually raped by politicians every single day, but when it comes to the music scene (or what it’s supposed to be), somehow the word PROFESSIONAL gets totally gang banged.

A professional is someone who makes out a living of his profession. This means that if you are a musician, you need doing nothing else other than music to pay your bills. Most bands, even rather recognisable names are Semi-pro, which means make a earning with music but still hang to this and that as well, to make a living. That is normal.
I am honestly a semi-pro, and I am very happy with it. It means I make the music I like, as a solo or with the bands I am in (THE DANSE SOCIETY, BLOODING MASK) and whichever collaboration I am involved with and rather than having a limo I have to drive my own car, which is a Prius so it’s not too bad smiley

But what about the totally non professionals that call themselves as professionals?
That are the fakes I am talking about.
A few examples:
People that beg friends to let them play for free, are totally maintained by their wife, or sister, or friend, or parents, whatever, they play occasional gigs with improvised musicians and then call themselves PROFESSIONAL. Well…
People who pay 25 quid to start a limited company (Ltd) with a name they fancy, register a trademark with a logo they fancy, regardless who did what with it before, and call themselves PROFESSIONAL…
Hang on, the best one I have read is someone arguing against a band after he resigned, claiming that he had to hire professional musicians so that he can get the band name and carry on as the band. in other words, I leave my ex partner BOB, hire a jigolo and pay 25 quid to start BOB Ltd and therefore I AM BOB’S GIRLFRIEND.

I don’t suppose BOB would put a like on that smiley

How about sticking to the simple facts? These are hard times for everyone. I would spit myself in the mirror rather than try to get somebody else’s work and claim it as mine. I would rather retire than pretend I have been the singer of a band I had nothing to do with, especially if they are still going.
Rawlings wasn’t replaced, he retired voluntarily, and I would have never taken his place if this happened the day before. I joined in more than a year after he disappeared.
This doesn’t make me a saint, and doesn’t make me great. It makes me honest, and the fact that I am not a politician means my honesty reference is clean and chlamydia free.

Some people should get down from their pulpit and realise that team work is team work and that being a semi-pro is not a shame but something to be proud of.

Having a glass of wine to all my semi-professional friends, and even to the fake professionals, as they make our life more entertaining by making themselves ever so ridiculous. I’ll put a bandage on my mouth for the moment, as I prefer to use my voice for the new songs I am writing, yay smiley
Prosit, cheers

THE DANSE SOCIETY‘s version of Come Inside is featuring as Original Soundtrack to Italian drama movie St@lker, directed by Luca Tornatore (with Francesco Salvi, Anna Foglietta, Ignazio Oliva). You can watch the trailer here.

I really liked it, and I’m not saying it because there’s a song I performed in it, but because I like the bravery of Luca Tornatore, for producing a film based on a true story like this. St@lker talks about the mental conflict of modern society inside Alan’s mind. Alan is an insurance agent going from successful to depressed and obsessed . Between the pressure of his coach, his sense of guilt that persecute him since his wife left him after years of neglection, Alan loses it. He enters a downward spiral of madness. What happens afterwards is a story that could happen to anybody, and I am sure that just like me, after the unpredictable finale many of you wondered how lucky we are.

I love the cast! They have all been so in character. The evolution of the main characters is striking. The way the whole film orbitates around them is impressive. This is no commercial serial film, this is author stuff, one of those films that leaves a signature.

I had to watch it twice and will watch it again.

It was about time that Italian films went back from usual to cult.

Ps: The moment Come Inside with The Danse Society pops, really gave me shivers! It’s such a hot moment in the film. Amazing!
